Top 50 Shades of Grey toys for BDSM beginners

My name is Samantha and I’m a self-proclaimed sex-toy specialist. Vibrators, gags, butt plugs – you name it, I've seen and tested them all. My love for sex toys started a few years ago when I started going out with T. and he helped me discover my kinky side. And soon my kinky side pretty much took over and now I don’t even know if there is a part of me that isn't naughty :)

Of course, you don’t get to where I am right away; everybody has to start somewhere. Lately, more and more women have been drawn to vanilla BDSM thanks to 50 Shades of Grey. The characters in the book, Ana and Christian, use a whole variety of toys and some of them are actually perfect for people who are just starting to explore their kinkiness.  But how do you know which ones will be good for you if you’re just beginning, especially when there are so many toys to choose from? And actually, how are you supposed to know how to even use them?

I’ve taken a liberty of compiling a short list of items that were present in 50 Shades...

Hello, lovely readers!

My name is Kate and I just got back from one of the worst dates of my life. I have to share the story, because it’s hilarious, but at the same time tragic… I don’t really know how many more awful dates I have to endure before I meet someone who is even remotely sane. Because, trust me, I have THE WORST luck when it comes to meeting men. And it’s also not like I have much time or opportunities to meet them.

OK, so I met this guy while shopping. He approached me, said he liked my hair and asked me out. I was so surprised by him being so to-the-point that I said “yes” without even thinking about it. I gave him my phone number and he called me later that day. We arranged to meet for drinks in the city centre.

When I arrived, he wasn't there yet. He texted me saying that he’ll be there in precisely 7 minutes. That should have been my first clue that something was wrong, but I thought that maybe he lived in the area. Oh boy, was I wrong. 7 minutes...

Getting into Character for Role Play

Whenever things start to feel a little humdrum in the bedroom, I start fantasizing about trying something new. Now don't get me wrong, sex with my husband is far from a chore. But it's natural for any act to lose its initial zing when you've done it literally thousands of times! We both have our sexy-time routines down pat; because we know each other so well that we know how to get the other one off pretty much immediately. When we both have work in the morning, we often choose the quickest route to bliss so that we can roll over and get a bit of shuteye.

I decided it was time to try and slow things down a bit with a bit of role playing. We've dabbled with role playing before, but this time I wanted to give it the full effort. I'm talking costumes, accents: the works. I was torn between going the storybook route with a...

Rocks Off Groovy Chick, £32.39
There's been much debate over the years as to whether the elusive G-Spot actually exists, or if it's just a myth. After using the Rocks Off Groovy Chick G-Spot vibe, you'll very quickly learn, like I did, that this inner hot-spot of instant pleasure is definitely real!

Finding the G-Spot can be tricky – hence the reason there are so many doubters out there – but the shape and size of the Groovy Chick makes it much easier to locate.

Generally speaking, your magic spot can be found on the top wall of the vagina. Insert either the index or middle finger up to the second knuckle and then make a come-hither motion. The area should feel slightly rougher and more spongy than the rest of the vagina wall. It's easier for a lover to find, unless you're using a toy, and it's always much easier to hit if you're already slightly aroused as the area will swell.

The 'C' shape curve of the Groovy Chick and the thicker...
